Is Your Lighting L90 Rated?

This is the most important question you can ask. L70 rated fixtures — the industry standard — drop to 70% of their original light output within five years. L90 rated fixtures maintain 90% output for 58,000 hours. At 16 hours a day, seven days a week, that’s ten years of consistent, high-performance light. Ask for the rating in writing. If they can’t provide it, walk away.

Will Your Light Levels
Stay Consistent Over Time?

Ask for lumen depreciation data over 5 and 10 years. If they can’t provide it, or if their fixtures are L70 rated, your light levels will degrade significantly before the fixture ever burns out. Your members will notice before you do.

Are Your LEDs Approved for Indirect Use?

Most manufacturers take a direct LED and simply flip it over for indirect applications. This is not the same thing. Best Lights LEDs are UL and CUL approved specifically for both indirect and direct positions — which means proper light output, longer life, and no corners cut.

Can You Help Me Secure Utility Rebates?

LED upgrades often qualify for significant utility rebates — but only if you know the programs and how to apply. Best Lights has secured over $1.5 million in rebates for clients nationwide. We handle the paperwork. Ask your vendor if they offer the same.

What’s Your Warranty — And What Does It Actually Cover?

A warranty is only as good as the company behind it. Best Lights offers a 10-year warranty on the DISC LED 2.0 — backed by Gary Yurich personally. Not a call center. Not a claims department. Gary.

“Nobody in this industry talks about L90 rating at high wattage. We do — because it’s the difference between
a lighting system that performs for a decade and one that quietly disappoints you in three years.”
